But, by law, you are required to have a USCG Captain license. The Captain's license however, only "allows" you seek customers and get paid for your services. The hard part will be finding someone (anyone) that will hand over their "baby" for you to sail away in, on the promise of a safe & timely delivery. And no one is going to do that until you have an awful lot of ocean passage making experience. Even with the experience, competition is very stiff, and most Captains that do this also have other income avenues.
