Posted by: | CommentsYacht hull in dry-dock has different form comparing with the same load hull in the sea. Hull deformation strongly affects the alignment. Fault reference points means “bad” alignment and possible creates overheating of bearings or gear boxes, excess hull vibrations and rubber unbounded from cutlass bearing. To achieve success alignment first of all we define by laser the elastic line of the yacht hull includes deck and bulkheads in the sea and then we “copy” this in the dry dock.
